"Cincinnati Twins" (Song)
by Alexander Beedy
On the grasslands of Texas
Gunpowder plumes arose
All hellfire in the midst
Of war cries and echoes
Muskets pistols and cannonades
Searing a dead calm sunny day
Vince's Bridge reduced to coal
A ceasing scrape hence explodes
Hooves pound and soldiers run
Sabers slice after emptied guns
Sweating brows burn the eyes
While wounds of valor paralyze
Eithteen minutes thus reveals
A blood soaked sweet and bitter field
Six hundred or more in sorrow lie
Depicting a vengeance of Texian pride
By Sherman, Burleson, Houston
History wins
With the Cincinnati Twins
